On board our Research Sailboat we are travelling throughout the Mediterranean documenting and reporting the influx of new invasive species from the Red Sea. Meaning Lionfish, pufferfish, rabbitfish and many more

Expedition Background

We hope to document and better understand the way new invaders in the marine environment impact the population dynamics under water. Keeping a close eye on the development of the fish stocks in certain key locations will be the main task of the expeditions along the way.
While lion fish do increase in abundance it is uncertain how strongly the negative impact on local fish stocks is, we hope to clear the mystery up a bit
